Entrepreneur

  1. Large Scale Investor
    For those looking to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in its management. Investment of $10m or more are given priority processing.
  2. Young Farmer
    For those looking to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in its management. Must be less than 40 years old, $300,000 net worth and farming experience.
  3. Science and Technology
    For those looking to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in its management. Must be in the field of commercialization of ideas/patents.

    1. Applicants must meet the four basic criteria of the Entrepreneur Category.
    2. Your scientific education and/or research-based work experience will be considered in assessing your entrepreneurial or business management experience.
  4. Long Haul Truck Drivers
    Candidates must work in Saskatchewan for an approved trucking firm on a work permit. If they are offered a full-time permanent position, they can apply to the SINP.
    After a minimum of 6 months employment they may apply to the SINP for permanent resident status. 
    If an approved trucking firm offers them permanent employment.
  5. Family Member
    Immigrant families living in Saskatchewan can support family members wishing to immigrate to Saskatchewan.
  6. Farm Owners/Operators
    Individuals with farming experience wishing to invest in a Saskatchewan farming operation.
  7. Health Professionals
    Candidates (physicians and nurses) have to have worked in Saskatchewan with a work permit for at least six months and then apply for permanent resident status through SINP.The Health Professions Category is divided into three sub-categories:

    1. Physicians
    2. Nurses
    3. Other Health Professions
  8. Hospitality Sector Project
    This project allows the Saskatchewan government to nominate foreign workers currently working in the hospitality sector in Saskatchewan in one of the following categories:

    1. Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6453)
    2. Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6641)
    3. Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6661)

    Workers in these categories must first begin working in Saskatchewan on a temporary foreign work permit for a company that has been approved by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). If an approved business offers the worker permanent employment, after a minimum of 6 months employment the worker may apply to the SINP for permanent resident status.

  9. Student
    Candidates must have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada and worked for at least six months for a Saskatchewan employer under a CIC post-graduate work permit. There are two streams of the Student Category:

    1. Post-Graduation Work Permit Stream Master’s and
    2. PhD Graduate Stream.
