- Large Scale Investor
For those looking to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in its management. Investment of $10m or more are given priority processing.
- Young Farmer
For those looking to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in its management. Must be less than 40 years old, $300,000 net worth and farming experience.
- Science and Technology
For those looking to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in its management. Must be in the field of commercialization of ideas/patents.
- Applicants must meet the four basic criteria of the Entrepreneur Category.
- Your scientific education and/or research-based work experience will be considered in assessing your entrepreneurial or business management experience.
- Long Haul Truck Drivers
Candidates must work in Saskatchewan for an approved trucking firm on a work permit. If they are offered a full-time permanent position, they can apply to the SINP.
After a minimum of 6 months employment they may apply to the SINP for permanent resident status.
If an approved trucking firm offers them permanent employment.

- Health Professionals
Candidates (physicians and nurses) have to have worked in Saskatchewan with a work permit for at least six months and then apply for permanent resident status through SINP.The Health Professions Category is divided into three sub-categories:
- Hospitality Sector Project
This project allows the Saskatchewan government to nominate foreign workers currently working in the hospitality sector in Saskatchewan in one of the following categories:
- Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6453)
- Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6641)
- Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6661)
Workers in these categories must first begin working in Saskatchewan on a temporary foreign work permit for a company that has been approved by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). If an approved business offers the worker permanent employment, after a minimum of 6 months employment the worker may apply to the SINP for permanent resident status.
Candidates must have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada and worked for at least six months for a Saskatchewan employer under a CIC post-graduate work permit. There are two streams of the Student Category:
- Post-Graduation Work Permit Stream Master’s and
- PhD Graduate Stream.
